Your visit · CO2 laser skin resurfacing

CoolPeel®

A light CO2 laser pass for tone and texture, with very little downtime.

We're looking forward to meeting you. Here's everything to know before you come in.

How it works

The short version.

CoolPeel® is a light CO2 laser treatment for the surface of the skin: tone, texture and fine lines. It is usually planned as a series, and your physician sets the depth and spacing for your skin at the consultation.

How it feels

Warm, like a mild sunburn afterwards.

Downtime

Pink and warm the same day; makeup is generally fine the next day.

Your appointment

What happens, step by step.

  1. 01
    A physician consultation first

Every first visit starts with a physician. They look at what you came in about, go through your history, and tell you honestly what will and will not help before anything happens.

  2. 02
    Your skin, your plan

Your physician looks at your skin type and history, including pigment risk, and decides whether CoolPeel® is the right choice and how deep to go.

  3. 03
    The treatment

Numbing cream first, then the laser pass. You go home the same day.

  4. 04
    Aftercare before you leave

Your provider gives you your own aftercare instructions at the end of the visit, and you can call us with any question afterwards.

Questions

Asked before you.

Is it right for darker skin?

Any laser treatment carries some pigment risk, which is higher in deeper skin tones. It is not an automatic no; your physician decides the safest approach with you, in person.

How many sessions?

Usually planned as a series. Your physician sets the number and spacing for your skin.
